Improving Access to Primary Care

The UK Improvement Foundation has been commissioned by their Department of Health to support general practice and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) to improve patient access to see a healthcare professional.

This new one year support:

• is aimed at GPs, nurses, managers and PCT staff involved in access work
• will share good practice from across the country
• will involve one-off events within your strategic health authority (SHA) area
• will re-visit the collaborative methodology which many practices have already used successfully to improve access
