

The Improvement Foundation has been supporting the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council (HQC) to run their first Collaborative in Saskatchewan’s primary care setting. This is the first time the entire province has embarked on a quality improvement initiative of this scale. The focus of the Collaborative is on improving quality of care in the areas of:
Wave 1 of the Collaborative was launched in November 2005, and will end in February 2008. Wave 2 started in November 2006 and will end in March 2009.
The Collaborative is a partnership that includes all 13 health regions, 73 family physician practices (including office staff), First Nations organisations, and community health care providers, among others.
